autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was researching indie games studio&#8217;s game trailers on YouTube, I concluded a few points that we can take reference from<br><br><strong>Video length: <\/strong>30-50 sec<br><br><strong>Characteristics :<\/strong> <br>Fading in opening, <br>5-8 secs game play clips with a short sentence in the middle of the screen introducing the fun part of the game <br>Plot twist at the end (this could make audience curious what is going on in the game and willing to play with it ) <br><br><strong>Something that they do not include but I think is important: <\/strong><br>Sound effects for atmosphere\/ emotion for the narrative, just like usual movie trailers but less exaggerated (no loud noise, no drum bass)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a draft, it was a reference as we would add on new ideas while we are editing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-831b2db5 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-cover\"><span aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-cover__background has-background-dim\"><\/span><div class=\"wp-block-cover__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-cover-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-content-justification-right is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-49613cd2 wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>BGM: <\/strong>Karimah&#8217;s Parascom theme<br><br><strong>Opening scene<\/strong>:<br><br>Idea and editing by Esi: Similar as our game\u2019s opening, having credits of Esi and I<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>First scene:<\/strong><br><br>*Makenah fades in* <br>Makenah with a sad face asking \u201cyou seem sad\u201d<br>*Water drop sound effect*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Makenah happy\/default face\u201cWhy don\u2019t join us in the paracosm?\u201d*Reversing piano effect*<br>*Theme song starts playing*+ *Bright environment fading in*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Second scene:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Start introducing our game\u2014-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Camera running through the environment + Origami animals animation x 2&nbsp;(game play clips)<br>Narrative: \u201c2.5 D crafty environment!\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Third Scene:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Drag and dropping Ines and still animals gameplay clips <br>Narrative: \u201cDrag and drop interaction with dolls and animals!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Forth Scene:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Spinning around 3D models + Object collecting clip<br>Narrative: \u201c3D object waiting for you to play with!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Fifth Scene:<\/strong> <strong>(plot twist)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">*Reverse sound effect*<br>*Reverse BGM*<br>*Opening rubbed paper (have the words blurred for not spoiling)*<br>Narrative: \u201cDiscover Karimah\u2019s story\u2026.\u201d*Karimah\u2019s portrait fading in*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">*Door knocking sound effect*<br>*Shining fades out effect*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sixth scene<\/strong>:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Game title entering <br>*2D craft world as background fades in*<br>Credits appear last<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When we were editing, Esi found out there were still lots of time left from 30 seconds, so we were adding 2 game play clips, which are interacting with doll characters and painting mini game before the plot twist scene. For the painting mini game, both of us drew one and Esi chopped those clips into 6 to match the beat of the BGM.
