Ethereal, mystical aura is what I wanted to achieve with her design. Some of the examples that I feel inspired by are Fantasia 2000 and Mavka: the Forest Song. Character Lauma from Genshin Impact has quite nice design as well, she is based off of Laum\u0117s&nbsp;from&nbsp;Eastern Baltic mythology, particularly Latvian and Lithuanian folklore.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-x-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Inspirations from media and mythology<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile has-medium-font-size\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/disney.images.edge.bamgrid.com\/ripcut-delivery\/v2\/variant\/disney\/c0addfc0-a612-443c-9921-650266333c62\/compose?aspectRatio=1.78&amp;format=webp&amp;width=440\" alt=\"Watch Fantasia 2000 | Disney+\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Spring Sprite is a benevolent force of life and creation. She loves the forest and its creatures, and is happy to bring spring every year. As a force of creation, <em>she has a creative and artistic side<\/em>, seen when she forms a flower, has a second thought, and then turns it into a dazzling sight, and revitalises a barren tree with gorgeous blossoms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Depending on her surroundings, she can take on various forms and colors; in water\/ice\/rain form, she is blue, in natural form, which is her most commonly used form, she is green\/lighter green, and in ash form, she is dark gray. When she&#8217;s in ash form, there are more colors than one. When smoke is around, she is brown, when the fire is around, she is red, and after the forest is destroyed, she is cool gray.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/chichestercinema.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Mavka-3.jpg\" alt=\"Mavka: The Forest Song - Chichester Cinema at New Park\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mavka&nbsp;or&nbsp;Nyavka is a type of female spirit in&nbsp;Ukrainian folklore&nbsp;and&nbsp;mythology. The Mavka is a long-haired <em>&#8220;Soul of the Forest&#8221;<\/em>, typically depicted as a temptress figure who lures men to their deaths. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the 2023 animated movie \u201cMavka: the Forest Song\u201d, Mavka has <em>a very special bond with the animals<\/em> <em>of the forest, who she protects and cares for deeply<\/em>. In return, they often help her when needed. Being the soul of the forest, <em>she can feel their emotions and understand them when they communicate with her.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:32% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/miro.medium.com\/v2\/resize:fit:1000\/1*oz4e64CIk4b079r5CWg3zw.jpeg\" alt=\"Fairies in Baltic Mythology and Folklore | by Niina Pekantyt\u00e4r | Medium\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Laum\u0117 is a&nbsp;fairy-like woodland spirit, and guardian spirit of&nbsp;orphans&nbsp;in Eastern&nbsp;Baltic mythology or Yotvingian mythology. Originally a sky spirit, her compassion for human suffering brought her to earth to share our fate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Laum\u0117s are the very oldest goddesses of\u00a0Lithuanian mythology. The image of these goddesses may have formed during the historical\u00a0Mesolithic period, just after the\u00a0Ice Age. Laum\u0117s could appear in the form of animals, as mares or as female goats, bears and dogs. Later, Laum\u0117s had an\u00a0anthropomorphic appearance: they usually had birds\u2019 claws for feet and appeared as women with the head or lower body of a female goat. Other forms included half-human\/half dog or half mare, similar to\u00a0centaurs.
