This week, we looked at previous students presentations and how they pitched their game ideas. The main key takeaways I got for how to have a good game pitch is to:
- Be descriptive – let the audience know what the game is in detail
- Have Proof of Concepts – Prototypes, Concept Art and even moodboards work
- Who is your audience – What kind of player would be interested in your game? and on top of that, why do you want to work on this game?
Another thing I have to think about, is who I want to work with. Not only thinking about whether we would work well together, but also with our skill sets. I know that my strong suit would be programming and in-engine work, therefore I need someone to work the brunt of the arts-side of the game.
