This could vary from losing a family member to a pet<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What is said to be the 5 stages of grief?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Denial- Grief is an overwhelming emotion where many people find it easier to pretend and act like the loss has never happened to cope. As you move out of the denial stage more overwhelming emotions come out.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anger- This is a masking effect used as a coping mechanism. You may take your anger out on the person who died or someone else. Not everyone will face this but many people do. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bargaining- At this stage you will find yourself questioning. Questions such as \u201cwhat if?\u201d may pop up, causing the person to feel somewhat guilty.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Depression- After a sudden loss it\u2019s no surprise that people will have a decline in their mental health, making it harder to deal with day-to-day life. All previous overwhelming feelings can build up and cause this.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Acceptance- This doesn\u2019t mean the person is suddenly happier, but that they have finally come to terms with what life is like now. You will still have your low days where you may miss someone, however you can cope better than before.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How is this relevant to my game idea?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My character is an 18-year old girl who finds out her mum is terminally ill. Before she passes she starts to spiral and her anxiety becomes worse than ever. I wanted to add the 5 stages of grief into my game as many people will face grief before the person has even passed. <br>I\u2019d like each room to have one theme from the 5 stages of grief.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is grief?
