Natural Inspiration

Ephemeral bloom gets its inspiration from the epiphyllum, a flower which blooms for a short time and subtly in the night.

The mark of its existence is not by how long it remains, but by the presence of a moment.
The game can be understood through the lens of this natural phenomenon, which strongly resonates with the idea that something which is fleeting need not be meaningless.

Interruption can turn the ordinary into a special moment.

Concept Translation

Instead of directly recreating the epiphyllum, the project translates its qualities — impermanence, nocturnality, and quiet presence — into an in-game symbolic form.
The flower becomes a design language rather than a literal reproduction.

Within the game world, this concept supports the idea that not all meaningful encounters are permanent, collectible, or controllable.
Some experiences exist only to be witnessed.

Noctelume (In-Game Outcome)

Noctelume appears only within memory fragments,
with a higher chance in main narrative memories.

At night, it emits a soft glow.
Players cannot collect it — only approach and experience it.
