{"id":2850,"date":"2026-01-09T23:38:06","date_gmt":"2026-01-09T23:38:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.wsagames.com\/ms22g23\/?page_id=2850"},"modified":"2026-01-12T06:53:07","modified_gmt":"2026-01-12T06:53:07","slug":"methodology","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.wsagames.com\/ms22g23\/methodology\/","title":{"rendered":"Methodology"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Methodology<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Below, I will briefly describe what project \/ time management methodologies I am planning to use&nbsp;when developing&nbsp;<em>Vengeance Incarnate<\/em>.&nbsp;I will&nbsp;mainly&nbsp;consider&nbsp;these&nbsp;methodologies&nbsp;in terms of solo&nbsp;development;&nbsp;however, they do not differ much in case I work on the project&nbsp;in&nbsp;a team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Agile<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Agile allows for&nbsp;iterative development, flexibility, and continuous improvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Work is divided into small, manageable tasks&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Progress is reviewed weekly&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The scope can be adjusted without disrupting the whole project&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Encourages early prototyping and frequent iteration&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In terms of&nbsp;<em>Vengeance Incarnate<\/em>, it is&nbsp;a good choice&nbsp;as the game relies on experimentation with mechanics, narrative pacing, and player choice.&nbsp;Agile supports iterative improvements and helps in managing&nbsp;uncertain moments in creative development&nbsp;processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scrum-Inspired Sprint Planning<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Generally used in team projects, however, it can be adjusted for solo development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Work is divided into \u201csprints\u201d,&nbsp;which usually last 1 or 2 weeks&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Each sprint has a clear goal&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sprint reviews help in checking on progress and&nbsp;identifying&nbsp;issues&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Helps in realistic workload planning&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For this&nbsp;project,&nbsp;it is a useful method, as the sprints will help in ensuring that all key systems, such as narrative, choices or survival, will be developed progressively, and not all at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kanban Task Management<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Kanban&nbsp;is a visual workflow method that tracks tasks through&nbsp;different stages&nbsp;of completion. It usually involves columns such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; To-do&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; In-progress&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Testing&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Done&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kanban visualizes how much work has been completed and what still needs to be done, making the tasks manageable and&nbsp;preventing&nbsp;work overload.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Time Blocking<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Time blocking involves assigning specific periods of time to individual tasks.
