However. I only have 8 minutes to present. So, I have chosen these ideas that have parasocial themes in them, but they are all unique in their own way:<\/p>\n\n\n\n You’re a gift inspector for an idol agency and your job is to carefully handle the gifts and make sure that they are appropriate and safe for the idol. This may seem like a menial task, but some of these fans have malicious and obsessive intent. They will try to sneak in things like disturbing photos, recordings, microphones, and during end game, some organs or even body parts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Genre<\/strong>: Simulation<\/p>\n\n\n\n Gifts include<\/strong>: Plushies, snacks, letters, jewellery, and artwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You are a very shy, introverted girl. A hikikomori. You shun yourself away from the world, avoiding contact with other people. But that is all about to change. You are about to get evicted as you are 2 months past due on rent. To combat this problem, you decide to become a sultry streamer under the name V3LVET. This job is out of your comfort zone, but you need to make money- and make it quick. Your job is to do activities on stream and balance stats that affect her well being, fans, and internet fame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3 stats:<\/strong> stalkers, internet fame, persona<\/p>\n\n\n\n Activities may include<\/strong>: playing games, eating food “suggestively”, make up and fashion, reaction videos etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This one is the most weak in terms of game play, but I think the concept would be fun to play around with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You play as a medieval match maker. Your job is to make young women attractive for nobles across the region. These women have a very one sided relation to their noble of choice. This game will be a body horror game. You will need to use very medieval tools to make these women beautiful. However, if they come back heartbroken after their visit to their noble of choice, your reputation will decrease, staining your shop’s reputation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I was very inspired by the movies:<\/strong> The Substance<\/em> (2024) and The Ugly Stepsister<\/em> (2025). They both depict a gruesome truth to what it means to be a woman; both in modern day, and in a more conservative era. In this game, I would like to convey having a one sided relationship or having a crush one someone and what it means to want to be attractive to that person- even if it means to change yourself completely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I looked into the ethics of making games about parasocial relationships and software I can use for the upcoming presentation where we show prototypes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/sites.wsagames.com\/pv2g23-yr3\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/40\/2025\/10\/image-54-716x1024.png\")
