It&#8217;s something that we have discussed way before the first presentation, I just thought it would be better for the both of us to work independently on our own things as of now. I&#8217;m glad I did, if not, I would&#8217;ve relied on him to do most of the technical prototyping. It was essential for me to be independent and have the freedom of doing things in my own time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the presentation, I got a lot of positive feedback. Me and E-jay are paired up for this project. As I am an artist and he&#8217;s a programmer, I think we would make a very strong team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:#b5badc\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Thoughts and takeaways:<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Working independently is very crucial to my growth, it forced me to do things by myself and not rely on anyone (although I did ask for a lot of help during the Unity prototype). I have also realised that I can handle the pressures of being able to prototype and present, I just need the right amount of pressure and to accept failure when needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For this week:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Me and E-jay have had talks about how to implement certain assets into the game. We need to do some research on how assets are put in Unity; in his previous project, there were some difficulties with this aspect.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I wanted to start conceptualising as soon as possible, however, I think it&#8217;s best to do all the research. I mainly want to focus on doing some ethics based research. Luckily for me, I have a Polynesian friend that I can ask questions on, in terms of if our characters are appropriate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For now, I think I&#8217;ll want to look into where our art direction is heading.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today is going to be my last presentation alone, as after this, I will be joining E-jay&#8217;s game concept.
