I wrote in <strong><mark style=\"background-color:#111;color:#00d084\" class=\"has-inline-color\">green<\/mark><\/strong> whilst she wrote in <mark style=\"background-color:#FFF\" class=\"has-inline-color has-background-color\"><strong>black<\/strong> <\/mark>. We did this activity to help us formulate ideas that we would be interested or just wanted to dive deeper for our upcoming presentation in week 3. \/5 answers from the previous tasks. We picked makeup, stress, sad endings and injustice. To pick apart these words we used the Lotus blossom technique. Me writing in <strong><mark style=\"background-color:#111;color:#cf2e2e\" class=\"has-inline-color\">red<\/mark><\/strong> and Esi writing in <mark style=\"background-color:#FFF\" class=\"has-inline-color has-background-color\"><strong>black<\/strong> <\/mark>. Through the use of a visual representation of ideas and is similar to a mind-map, but is more structured and pushes you in ways you don\u2019t experience in classic mind-mapping. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The process :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thoughtegg.com\/bobstuff\/uploads\/2012\/09\/lotus_layout2.png\" alt=\"Lotus Blossom Sheet\" style=\"width:640px;height:auto\" title=\"Lotus Blossom Sheet\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enter a problem to be solved, an item to be improved, or a theme to be examined in the center box.(Box I above)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Brainstorm related components, solutions or themes and put these in the boxes immediately surrounding the center box.&nbsp; (Boxes A-H above)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The values from those boxes should now be used as the center of the eight lotus blossoms on the outer edges of the sheet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Brainstorm related components, solutions or themes and enter these in the eight boxes surrounding each of the new center seeds for each outer lotus blossom. Try your best to complete all of the blossoms to maximize ideas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upon completion you will have at least 64 new ideas related to the original problem or theme.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After realising that my first attempt of this technique was done inaccurately, I wanted to try the method again in a second attempt. My keywords were Harry Potter, Folklore, Music, Eras, Movies, Art, Nepal and Greek mythology. I&#8217;ve been interested in each of the chosen words I picked for a while, and I wouldn&#8217;t mind learning more about them or doing further study on them. In contrast to the lotus blossom technique, my mind map was disorganised and messy, since I wrote down anything that I believed related to the main idea.
