The goal is usually to form a relationship with a character you like and progress through the story&#8217;s events. Dating sim games typically feature anime-style graphics and exaggerated narratives to create a more engaging narrative.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"font-size:clamp(14px, 0.875rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.125), 16px);\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Romantic video games are still a popular genre because players grow to love and identify with the in-game characters. Johnson Et al (2002) states, \u201cVideo games allow players to interact not only with human players but also with virtual characters\u201d Because of the interactions, these games might feel more personal to players as they form deeper bonds with the game&#8217;s characters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why dating sim game?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:clamp(14px, 0.875rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.125), 16px);\"> I used to play these types of games with friends and enjoyed developing my characters and the game&#8217;s storyline. However, all of these dating sim games portray each candidate as ideal romantic partners. I believe that would be a more interesting take.
