We all agreed it aligned well with the narrative outlined in the GDD and was written with greater detail.

Yushan revisited the GDD for Scopophobia to examine the detailed dialogue requirements, then reminded Leo via Slack to pay particular attention to these specifications when drafting the conversations.

Reflections on the group discussions over the past few weeks：

As the four of us had all been group members for each other during the previous academic year, we were quite familiar with one another – which was both an advantage and a disadvantage.

The advantage is that we are all familiar with each other, so there is no need for a lengthy settling-in period.

The drawback is that we cannot discuss our projects with sufficient seriousness. We invariably veer off topic after exchanging a sentence or two, either drifting into unrelated matters or resorting to banter. This results in our discussions being rather inefficient.

We’ve also encountered issues with our online communication. We use Slack for discussions, but when one team member posts in the channel, others don’t receive notifications immediately, so we can’t engage in real-time exchanges. Messages often go unanswered, or responses arrive a day later or much later – and not from everyone.

After reflection, we have decided that when discussing projects, we must refrain from joking about them and save such conversations for after class. During project discussions, everyone must be 100% focused on the task at hand and must not engage in off-topic remarks.

When discussing matters on Slack, we must tag everyone in each message, as we’ve found that tagging group members ensures they receive notification alerts.

Our collective aim is to enhance the efficiency of our communications, ensuring that each interaction resolves the issue at hand.

This blog written by Yushan Yao Technical Designer: Yushan Yao Narrative & Story: Zixuan Zou Character Artist: Junhwan Lee Environment Artist: Derry Group Communication Time: Our group’s primary communication takes place during Monday and Thursday lectures, with occasional exchanges via Slack.
