• At the very beginning, I did not want to create such a character, I only wanted the heroine to be a single character for the whole game, because that would add to the depressing feeling of the game by making the player feel isolated. But after thinking about it, I think that would make the game boring if some players don’t like the narrative. Therefore, I finally decided to change the whole gameplay as well as the story, so this calico cat, which most people would like a cute cat, appeared.

 • She was based on a stray cat that lived inside my high school and a kitten I met next to the university. I would always look at that cat to pass the time during lunch breaks in high school, and even though she never let me pet her (or anyone else), I feel like we had a pretty good relationship.

 • In the game, as the players put together the broken backgrounds, this cat will appear as a hint where once it was incomplete. She also directs the player to where on the map they should go next.
