This week I focused on creating assets for the game to be used in the final presentation.

↑ Color experiment

Before applying color, I first brush the entire sheet with a lighter shade and plenty of water. This helps achieve a more uniform tone across the painting.

↑ Scaned background

After showing this to teammate，she said the excessive saturation makes it difficult to distinguish between the background, trees, bushes, animals, and characters.

↑ The second edition of background

↑ Process of the notebook illustration

In this painting, I used pearlescent watercolors, but after scanning, the shimmering areas no longer show their color.

""

↑ I initially left some background color untouched, but since the trees stand on the ground in the 2.5D scene, this made the final presentation look odd, so I ultimately removed it.

On Thursday‘s class，we learnt the principle of GenAI and our school’s policy about it. Our group decided not to use GenAI on every area of our work.
