This week was mostly spent preparing design intent, and around that intent, developing the basic experience we hope players will have, as well as three early game pillars.

One task during the course left a deep impression on me. It required writing down “I would like players to (Experiential verb) (something)” based on previous materials and notes.
Following this format, I wrote “I would like players to feel proud for themselves.” This task helped me confirm the game experience and design intent I wanted to bring to the players. I wanted players to have more emotional experiences and to visualize emotions through my game, allowing players to intuitively feel the power of emotions.
GDD Target
| Confirm design intent.
| Complete early game pillars to guide and refine subsequent designs.
| Avoid getting fixated on early game pillars; adjustments need to be made as the game progresses.
Refection
This week, I mainly learned about ensuring that the design and concepts align with the game’s design intent when creating GDD.
Even more importantly, it is necessary to ensure that the player’s gaming experience matches the design intent.
