- Start
When I was making the Loop at the very beginning, I didn’t fully understand what a game loop was. I thought it was a game process used to show the complete game flow. So in the initial design, it only had one very simple route:
Game starts – Explain the background story – Players enter the level – Trigger the task – Complete the task/unfinished task – Trigger bullet comments for encouragement – Inspire players’ pride – Game ends
- Progress
After the relevant courses ended, I found that there was a need for choices and different endings, so I made a complete process based on my initial ideas

However, after the communication during the feedback week, I felt that I still didn’t understand accurately.
- Final
So I went back to review the PPT about the Game Loop and found that I had missed a very important section. The example diagram of the game loop was different from my understanding

Adding the definition of Game Loop that I have seen, It is essentially a set of action chains that can be repeated and allow players to make progress in the game to achieve the goal.
So after fully understanding the content, I created the final Game Loop. Since I made some adjustments to the Game content I initially envisioned after the feedback week, the content of the Game Loop will be slightly different. But essentially, it’s just an expansion of the previous rough content to explain the action loops that players will have.

This is the final game loop diagram.
At the same time, based on my game mechanics, I designed a Meta Game Loop with the collection of emotional abilities as a mate game goal.

These are some of the game loops.
