Week 5

Regarding the issues I raised last week, we discussed them in this week’s meeting. On the character side, we confirmed which parts could be completed and included in the first test. For the parts that couldn’t be completed, we’ll temporarily use a blank canvas as an NPC. However, the team member in charge of the game’s background said they need to give it to me by Wednesday morning, so I started working on the character functionality.

This week I spent more time refining our game prototype. Since I only received the background image for the main menu last Friday, I spent the weekend creating the various functions of the main menu. So, from Monday to Wednesday this week, before I received the background for the first level, I created an animation before entering the game, and its connection to the main menu and the first level.

After receiving the background image for the first level on Wednesday, we began developing our game content. However, due to the tight schedule—testing was scheduled for Thursday—after discussing with my team members how to adjust the background for the first level, I sat down at my computer to complete the game content. The final result looks something like this.

Before the official game test began, I showed our team members the current content of the game. Elina suggested that I add a storyboard to the opening animation so that players would know what was happening. So, before the official start, I made some minor adjustments to the game prototype, and the final opening animation looked something like this.

Then this is a record from the game testing.
