At the start of this week, based on Elina’s notes from last week’s game testing, I summarized the parts that need fixing and adjustment. This will help us confirm how to allocate our work during our meeting. My plan is to receive some of the necessary art assets on Thursday and then start fixing these issues. This way, we can start adding new content next week. However, this will put some pressure on the team members, so I plan to discuss this at Tuesday’s meeting.

Following Tuesday’s discussion, we finalized some of the tasks, including a new start menu, updated opening animations, updated game backgrounds, background music, and player control prompts. Each task was assigned to a specific person. Lacking art assets, I decided to start with the background music. After consulting with everyone in the meeting and finalizing the music, I updated it into the game that evening. Because the music is short, I set it to loop. After CICI finished the main menu background, I updated it into the game; it will look something like this.

This is the version finalized after we all gave our suggestions. Further adjustments will likely only be made to the font. Also, because background music has been added, I’ve decided to utilize the previously reserved settings channel so players can control the music volume.

After completing this step, I suddenly remembered a problem I had overlooked before. During testing, because our game didn’t have a settings button, we had to close and reopen the game every time we finished a test. So I thought it might be better to add a settings button to the game. Therefore, I created an in-game settings control, which looks something like this.
