After determining the groupings, the four members of our group discussed what tasks each of us would broadly need to undertake within the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team I was assigned to is working on a game I’m quite fond of. It’s a 3D title, and while I’d previously only used Unity for game development, Leo informed me that UE5 offers a simpler approach to creating 3D games compared to Unity, yielding superior quality. Following his explanation and after my own deliberation, I decided to attempt game development using UE5 this time. My aim is not only to create a better game but also to explore different game development engines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My Role in the group:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As assigned by the tutor, my role within the team is that of Technical Designer. As the art assets and character dialogue produced by the other team members ultimately need to be consolidated by me, it falls to me to integrate all the assets into the game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consequently, I also serve as Project Manager on this project. I am responsible for planning and managing the weekly progress of the project and the required assets, and for allocating tasks to other team members. Furthermore, I need to adapt the project management approach in line with practical circumstances to ensure the entire project can be completed on time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
