POSTER DESIGN

Inspiration / References

I gathered a selection of images from across the internet related to Hong Kong folklore and urban horror. These references helped me study the visual language of local rituals, architecture. I aimed to extract key elements from these materials and adapt them into my own design, using them as a foundation for the atmosphere and symbolism in the poster.

Sketch & Early Concept

Before moving into the modeling stage, I created sketches to define the composition and placement of key elements in the altar scene. These drawings helped clarify the intended atmosphere and object relationships, providing a clear direction for the subsequent 3D environment setup.

3D Environment Construction

Using the sketch as the initial prototype, I began the modeling process. However, because the original design and the reference materials differed in several aspects, I had to adjust the scene’s composition, resulting in some changes from the initial sketch. I also added additional furniture to make the camera framing feel more coherent and visually balanced.
