MONDAY/TUESDAY
Unfortunately I was sick this particular Monday, so had to catch up the work on Tuesday instead. My classmates had made collage posters of their chosen topics, advertising it as if it were a new concept, and then think about how a scientist, a politician, and philosopher would think of this.
As I wasn’t in, I didn’t have access to the posters or newspaper cuttings they used anymore. Instead my work is a digital adaptation!

Scientist
- Begins the study of these “monsters”, urge people to remain calm, or consider them a hoax with no scientific evidence
- What are the impacts on the local wildlife? What will be the impact of it on humanity?
- biological study on captured creatures
Politician
- Would have to quickly come up with a policy on monster sightings, and how to deal with them
- Potentially could use the panic and fear to boost their image, showing a brave face, promising solutions to the “monster problem”
Philosopher
- May try to think of its positive impacts on society
- May try to link monsters to previous creatures, likening them to one another
THURSDAY
Our second guest lecture! Please see my writeup here.
I also spent my leftover time doing research on previous alumni’s work, in order to get an idea of the scope my game concept would be. After all, in a few days we’d enter Phase 3, and start the prototyping. I wanted to make sure any ideas I was coming up with would result in a fruitful end product.
FRIDAY
By Friday, all I had left to do was polish off my research and put together the presentation. I used the same template as last time to keep some cohesion.
