My Levels are going to be a lot closer to a 3D Mario platforming game, rather than the more 2D linear based design that has gotten popular recently.
I feel like dropping the player at a neutral starting point, then allowing them to discover that part of the world organically would work best. This would mean putting an arbitrary number on the amount of Sprites that would have to be collected between worlds, however, I really don’t feel like that’s an issue in the face of more fun and enjoyable game design.
