Art Direction Overview
The overall visual tone of Backstage Machina is dark and bleak, with an anime cel-shaded style, aiming to evoke feelings of loneliness and despair in players.
Color Palette
The primary color scheme features cool grays and dark tones, primarily dark red and blue-black. Accent colors are highly saturated hues, including but not limited to neon green, bright blue, and vivid purple.

Environment Design
The environmental design employs a level-eye perspective and easily recognizable everyday objects, enabling players to quickly grasp the spatial layout while exploring its details.
Interactive Object
Objects are highlighted with higher brightness than the background to alert players, and their outer outlines are thicker than the background.
UI
The UI employs only warmer, brighter color blocks and lines to distinguish itself from the environment, prioritizing symbols over text.
Character Design
Character visuals should visually hint at player character personalities, with attire echoing the setting. Character silhouettes are easily distinguishable, featuring an anime-inspired style with consistent proportions for characters of the same age group. Character color schemes are used to suggest personality traits. Expressions are stylized, with static CG used to demonstrate plot progression, while dialogue conveys character traits.
