Hi, I’m Yansong Deng.

I’m a Game Design & Art student at the University of Southampton, specializing in environment concept design, world-building, and cinematic visual development.

My creative approach is rooted in atmosphere-driven storytelling. I believe environments are not just visual spaces, but narrative structures that shape emotion, pacing, and interpretation. By studying film cinematography, architectural logic, and industrial forms, I aim to create scenes that feel functional, believable, and emotionally resonant.

My work focuses on:

Environment Concept Art

Cinematic Keyframes & Composition

World-building & Narrative Design

3D-assisted workflows (Blender, Unity, Quixel)

Visual Direction & Documentation

I continue to explore how light, space, material language, and structural rhythm can enhance storytelling and define the emotional tone of a world.

My goal is to grow as a concept artist / visual development artist, creating immersive, atmospheric, and narrative-driven worlds for games and film.

If you’re interested in my work or potential collaboration, feel free to reach out.
