In the afternoon session we created small groups to begin a more rigorous brainstorm activity. We had been asked to bring a physical image of any visual media that could convey the word.

The first thing we did in groups was a mind map on specific themes that stemmed from the keyword. this session I found I had been discussing concepts between our group that I hadn’t thought about in my previous mind map. Next came using the images to link these ideas together and more cohesively.

We were encouraged to turn these ideas into game rules. With this in mind, the things to consider were: What is the player doing? How are they doing it? Where are they doing it?

This is the image I chose, it’s a photo I snapped in Pencester park in Dover and edited in Photoshop. I liked how foreboding the dark green mass of the tree is, and the spiral adds to the dynamcism with the flying pigeons, almost like they’re being sucked in or spat out.
