Unlike the conventional promotional images which promote the film, this was designed to be a conceptual entry point to the project.
It doesn’t explain how to play the game but instead communicates the project’s emotional core of ephemerality, memory, and quiet presence.
The research behind our visual form Noctelume and this ephemeral bloom were paid together to form a floral composition. Flowers are synonymous with memories that fleetingly surface to light only to slowly dissolve in oblivion. The game’s soothing colour palette and handmade texture enhance its natural themes and meditative mood.
A poster becomes an interactive threshold with the inclusion of a QR Code.
This poster does not work as a closed artefact but enables a movement from the image (static) to the game world and the game design process itself. This echoes with the project’s very idea of falling into memory.
The words shown at the end of the game – Memory is not merely a record of the past but a guide for the future – acted as a thread linking together both the visual language as well as the narrative and reflective experience of the game.
