Corridor Environment Design

This image shows the overall general appearance of the corridor space. The corridor is designed as a long, narrow, closed space with almost no branching space to explore. The doors are neatly arranged on the same side and the appearance is as consistent as possible.
This repetitive, monotonous design is to avoid the environment giving the player something to point to. The player’s attention in the corridor is more focused on two questions: whether to enter the room and which door to enter.
Corridor top lighting, wall materials and floor textures are kept to a low level of precision. This design makes the space depressing and enclosed, and paired with the overall dim lighting, reinforces the overall sense of immersion.
Overall, the corridor, in addition to exerting a certain amount of psychological pressure on the player, is also a safe zone for the player most of the time, and is an important area for the player’s activities.
Room Environment Design

This image shows the basic environment inside the room. The room will appear slightly more spatially enclosed than the corridor. Each room will add different challenge items on top of this, so there is almost no extra decoration demonstrated here, the walls, floors and lighting are all part of the basic background.
The rooms are not looking to create difficulty through complex scenarios, and hopefully the player will be able to make a quick judgement once they enter. This is still only concept art, may be in the official game will be a little different.
