Week 5
Monday
We spent Monday doing our presentations and giving feedback via nodenoggin. I believe I presented very well to the class. Unfortunately, I was not able to show more than one of the videos I had on my presentation, but I was able to deliver all the important information I wanted to my coursemates.

Above are a few of the slides with my notes from my presentation.

Some of the feedback I received was useful. Several peers mentioned Nidhogg as a game that I could use for inspiration when thinking of gameplay. Others mentioned how important the control over the stick is, which could inspire a more mechanical game based on moving the stick around. A lot of people mentioned the rhythm and music, making a clear connection that this game could be a rhythm game.
Reflection
After this presentation, I was excited to come up with prototypes and use the ideas that some of my peers gave me on the feedback sheet. While some of my peers also had good ideas that they presented, I was much more invested in my own idea/topic than anyone else’s, thus I am now focused on my idea more than anyone else’s.
