While painting, I noticed that different types of specialty watercolors produce varying results when scanned. For example, pearlescent watercolors don’t appear shimmering in scanned images, whereas pigmented watercolors appear more vibrant in scans than on paper because the contrast and brightness are amplified during the scanning process.
