Module Overview
This module focuses on taking the game concept developed during the Project Proposal module through to final production. Working either independently or as part of a team, you will develop an ambitious project aimed at an external audience. The final result will be a polished Alpha or Beta build produced to a professional, market-ready standard. Throughout the process, you will apply the skills, methods, and development practices explored during your studies in a consistent and focused way. You will also promote your project by building a public presence through platforms such as social media, websites, and a documentary-style video covering the project’s development.
Over the course of the module, you will design, test, refine, and market a professional-quality game project suitable for public release, exhibition, or presentation to publishers in an appropriate format.
Projects created during this module will also be featured in two public pop-up arcade showcase events.
Alongside the practical work, you will produce process documentation, reflective work, and a portfolio of project assets in an online format that clearly communicates your development journey. This could include formats such as an illustrated blog supported by additional materials.
Your portfolio should contain all studio work completed throughout the semester, including workshop and tutorial evidence, sketchbooks, research, annotations, development work, preparatory material, and final outcomes where required.
