Jonathan Wiltshire (IG: jwwiltshire)
I have discovered this artist through Pinterest and was lucky enough to find his socials despite the fact that usually art goes uncredited on this platform. I have based my vision of the main character quite heavily off his paintings, because they way he portrays flying spirits/entities in the forest really resembles with the feelings I experience when thinking of the Forest Keeper. She needs to be light, askmnost transparent and ready to merge with nature around her.

Claude Monet
Claude Monet is a great impressionist that I have known about for years and have always been fascinated by his work. The use of colour that is so specific to Impressionism creates a soft, ethereal lighting that can be depicted at any time of the day. I love the vagueness that comes with motion while painting scenery, it gives the painting a very special type of ambience.

I loved these druid/elf designs and have taken them as inspiration for the main character. They have also reminded me of Mavka, and this is how I have added her to my research.
