Week 5 – Topic Presentations

With Phase 3 now kicking off, Week 5 started with presentations of our chosen topics. After my thorough research of my 90’s rave culture topic I was ready to give the presentation, and decided to focus on 4 core topics for the sake of brevity:

• History and origins
• Adoption into the UK
• Breakbeat Hardcore and sampling
• Jungle, Garage and influences on contemporary artists

I also included some YouTube links to music that would play in the background throughout my presentation, mostly comprising of classic tracks that are iconic examples of their specific subgenres:
