Blob(Basic)
When I made this model, I didn’t rush to make the finished product at the beginning. Instead, I established a benchmark model for the whole Blob. On the one hand, it served as a unified standard of “the same race, only you are too different”, on the other hand, it served as a preview of the overall proportional style of this creature.




Then based on this, I tried to make a variety of different blobs models to test the feasibility of blobs‘ design in visual and modeling levels
And found that two of them: Dandelion and Tumbleweed were not easy to make because of their fur, so the Cactus and Rabbit were established.

Although Rabbit Blobs’ operation is estimated to be more novice-friendly in the game, there are actually obvious problems exposed in the further production process:
The structure of Blob itself is difficult to deal with quickly in bone binding and animation realization, and the ears of rabbit dumpling are not suitable for overall animation control only by lattice deformation. In contrast, cactus is more realistic in the realization of single-player project.

In addition, in order to support the ecological relationship in the urban scene, I also made a 3D model of pigeons to test the existence of “hostile” creatures in the environment. This model will be used as a part of space pressure to help build a living experience from the perspective of weak creatures.
