13.10.2025 – 4 Themes Presentation
Third week began with presenting our research done in the prior two weeks. Everyone was given a 10-minute time slot to talk about their chosen subjects of interest.
Throughout the presentations we had the opportunity to give useful tips for further research to our peers, as well as collect feedback from them about the further direction of our own study. We used the tool nodenogg.in for that. It was fairly intuitive and easy to navigate. The feedback I received on my research is provided below.

Our last task of the day was to decide on one of the four themes for more thorough research. Initially, I was unsure of which topic I should pick, however, seeing that time sparked the most interest among my peers, I’ve decided it is a topic that needs to be looked into further. In the future I might think about combining it with one of my other themes, such as language or space, if I find them to be something that could add more value to the study on time.
14.10.2025 – Rapid Map Prototyping

On Tuesday, our task was to create a map prototype in Unity. The template provided by Ross was customized for FPS games, however, the map itself didn’t necessarily need to be created for that genre.

Overall, map-building in Unity was quite intuitive and didn’t require any prior programming skills. It was only necessary to have an understanding of basic Unity tools. This task was a great combination of practising creativity and technical skills and in the end, we got to try out everyone’s maps in multiplayer mode. It was a fun and useful experience which could definitely help when building worlds for our main projects in the future.
