Week 12 – Hand-in + Reflection

05/01/2026

With this being the last week before handing it in, it was mainly dedicated to making sure my blog was up to date and that everything was sorted in terms of the proposal sheet. Thankfully, Jessie and I had completed most of this before the Christmas break, so it was only small additions that needed to be completed.

Reflection

With the first semester coming to an end, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the past 12 weeks. They’ve gone by so quickly, and it feels surreal that by the end of this month, I’ll already be stepping into my final semester.

One of the biggest challenges for me this term has been the presentations. They always bring a lot of anxiety, and having to speak for eight minutes on several occasions definitely pushed me outside my comfort zone. Still, I’d like to think that over these 12 weeks I’ve grown a little more confident in presenting my ideas, even if I’ll probably still get the shakes from time to time. Although it was part of a different module, I also really enjoyed having the chance to share some of my ideas with our guest speakers. It was refreshing to get that external perspective and hear feedback from people outside our usual environment.

Looking ahead to next semester, I’m aiming to push myself again by developing my skills even further, especially as I’ll be taking on some 3D modelling and texturing. It’s an area I’ve been interested in for a long time but kept putting off, so this feels like the right moment to finally commit to it. I’m confident it will be manageable within the timeframe, and it will be a great extra achievement to tick off before graduating.
