Yushan Yao:
Check out and door opening system:
Yushan has completed development of another core mechanism. A quantity requirement for items has been implemented at the checkout area. Upon entering the supermarket, the main doors remain permanently locked and cannot be opened. Only when players have placed the requisite number of items on the checkout counter and then approach the doors will they unlock.

Character dialogue system:
This mechanism functions as follows: upon commencing the game, the player appears before the table. The mirror on the table detects the player’s proximity. When within the detection range, pressing the E key initiates a monologue dialogue. Upon completing the dialogue, the room’s door automatically opens after a two-second delay, allowing the player to traverse through it to the supermarket.

Upon completing these two mechanisms, Yushan had established the fundamental game loop for the entire game.
Upon commencing the game, players find themselves within their own room. They may freely explore the space until interacting with a mirror, completing a dialogue sequence that automatically unlocks the door. Players may then proceed to the next scene. Upon entering the supermarket, players must complete a shopping task. Should an NPC encounter the player, their anxiety level will increase. Once this reaches maximum, the player is returned to their room to restart the game. Should the player successfully purchase all required items, approaching the exit door will cause it to open, allowing them to depart.
Zixuan Zou:
This week, LEO completed the line drawing of the draft for the cutscene characters. However, when he finished, he found that the lines were too messy due to repeated drawing, so he changed to a new software. The joints of the characters will be divided into several layers in the new software, and the result will be much smoother.
Junhwan Lee:
After the playtesting and reviews Lee got from others Lee came to realize that Lee basically wasted 2 weeks in unnecessary work. Lee could have simply had 1 character template and 5 different hairstyles/clothes to lessen Lee workload for efficiency.
Also the designs got some criticism such as how Lee would never find people like my npcs in England. This confused me at first because Lee failed to realize that the game is based in England.
Then again, most of the shoppers Lee see in this town so far are either too old or too young. Lee later consulted with Maria about how she thinks and decided to change the style up a little.
Yushan also demanded animation from me which Lee have never attempted before. This is the result of the new npc:

It is as NPC as NPCs can get. Lee do admit it looks bad at first but then again, they are supposed to look unnatural once the protagonist’s scopophobia worsens over the duration of the gameplay. So Lee thought might as well make it look weird to catch the players off guard once the horror element kicks in.
