Discussion on the progress of Week 10：
As this Friday marks the final playtest, we already had the main models for the scene (cupboards and freezers) in place last week. However, we are still missing some key models for the scene. Yushan and Derry have therefore agreed to work together on the scene layout on Tuesday, so Yushan has asked Derry to ensure that the modelling of the remaining key models is completed by Tuesday.
Yushan has resolved the issue of integrating 2D characters into the 3D game, so following discussions with Lee, Yushan plans to complete the animation for all characters by Friday.
Yushan Yao and Lee communication:
Yushan is working on character animations and NPC dialogue simultaneously, so he asked Lee about the progress of the NPC dialogue and the other female NPCs. Lee provided Yushan with all the dialogue for the characters, allowing Yushan to assign them to each character himself.
Yushan and Derry communication:
As we have a playtest this Friday, the previous playtests focused solely on Yushan’s mechanics and programming, with no visual assets included. Therefore, for this final playtest, we urgently need to incorporate as many visual assets as possible before Friday.
Yushan has reorganised the project management and is updating Derry on progress every day. Our aim is to complete the artwork for the supermarket section by Friday if possible. So, Yushan has prioritised the items in the supermarket scene according to their importance and is telling Derry what needs to be done each day.
Unfortunately, Derry was unable to complete the task assigned by Yushan on time, so not all the art assets had been imported by the time of the Friday test. However, the art assets for the most important sections of the supermarket had been imported, so this did not ultimately affect the player experience.

As Yushan needed to continue optimising the mechanics and layout of the art assets, Lee needed to finish animating 10 NPCs, and Derry needed to complete the modelling of the art assets, Zixuan decided to take on the task of designing the poster. Zixuan finished the design on Wednesday and handed it to the teacher to be printed, and the poster was successfully used for promotional purposes during the test.
