Classroom activity: Core Pillars and Loops of a game
Escape from Dakhov
Pillar 1: MOD support for the game. The game has a very strong inclusiveness towards MODs. MODs make the game content and operations more diverse. They add various devices to assist players, making the game more colorful. Moreover, the installation methods of MODs are relatively simple and have diverse inclusiveness.
Pillar 2: Diverse perspectives. Although the game is only in a top-down perspective, the map and game map design are relatively complete and can accommodate various first-person and third-person perspectives.
Pillar 3: Randomization in the game. Every time players enter the map, the enemies, weather and supplies they encounter are all randomized. This enhances players’ curiosity and collection desire, making them eager to explore the game again and again.
