week 2

I conducted a simple investigation on Scopophobia and derived several endings and main lines from Maria’s (GDD) article as a reference. Below is my summary of the core of the story and its specific development direction.

Here, we investigated the killing rules of monsters in REPO that occur through visual confrontation. Moreover, in the game rules, it not only incorporates the concept of a shopping cart, but also makes us realize that during the shopping process, using a shopping cart to assist players in obtaining items is better than simply using the item bar. Additionally, in the REPO game, there is a mechanism where objects will be damaged and make sounds when they undergo intense collisions. Incorporating this mechanism into the game is also very appropriate. However, this idea might significantly increase the game’s difficulty. “The Closing Shift” features strange strangers, and in “Phasmophobia”, the game rules state that you know there will be danger but must complete the conditions.

Individuals with scopophobia generally exhibit symptoms in social situations when attention is brought upon them, such as in public speaking. Many of the situations which trigger social anxiety also apply to scopophobia, such as: being introduced to new people, being teased and/or criticized, or even answering a phone call in public (Richards, 2013).
