The background music will gradually change according to the player’s game progress, instead of playing the same music in a loop for the whole game. As the city revives, music will continue to increase the level, providing players with more complete emotional feedback.
Main menu
After the player enters the game, the background music is mainly a simple piano melody with ambient sound. The overall atmosphere is quiet and mysterious, helping players quickly enter the world of Luma.

Level 1: Fountains and Dead Trees
The first level is mainly about exploring the environment and learning the gameplay, so the background music remains simple, with piano and soft Ambient Pad as the main elements. There is no obvious rhythm, so that players can focus on observing the environment and finding puzzle clues.
When the fountain is repaired, the background music maintains the original melody and adds a slight sound of running water environment; when the trees are restored, birdsong and natural environmental sounds are added, so that players can feel that the city begins to recover its vitality through the sound.

Level 2: Street lights and clock towers
As players gradually repair more important facilities, the background music begins to add more strings and harmony, making the overall music richer than the first level, but still maintaining a quiet and gentle style.
The change of musical level symbolises that the city is recovering little by little without suddenly changing the overall mood.

Level 3: Energy Bridge
As the final level of the game, the energy bridge is also the climax of the whole story.
The background concert reaches the most complete state, adding more string music and environmental levels on the basis of retaining the piano melody, so that players can clearly feel that the city is about to recover.
Because it is difficult for free music resources to achieve full dynamic soundtracks, this project plans to continue to follow the music theme of the second level and adjust the volume and ambient sound level appropriately. When the player completes the last piece of the puzzle, the background music enters the most complete state, presenting the climax of the game with the city’s restoration of light and the final ending.

Ending (Ending of the game)
After the game, the background music returned to the simple and warm piano melody, echoing the Main menu at the beginning of the game, symbolising that Luma has regained calm, and Steve’s repair journey is officially over.
