My day began with a meeting with Marie, who guided me on improving my time management skills and effectively allocating tasks to excel in my project. It was essential to switch to daily blog entries to document my work and track progress as I completed tasks. This approach will help me produce output and make up for the time I lost during the semester.
During our discussion, we emphasised identifying key focus areas for the day, starting with the research section. This will be the primary focus of my work. I plan to utilise available resources and draw upon my skills in drawing, sketching, and painting to create works and mood boards. With this in mind, I headed to the library to begin my initial research.

Time management is an essential skill both in university and beyond. To improve my time management for handling tasks, my teacher suggested that I document and plan my daily events using the school calendar. This way, I can access my schedule on my phone and receive notifications for each task. The plan for the day is outlined above.
My initial plan was to collaborate with the librarian and select books that would inform my background design. After spending some time in the library, I found several influential books, which are as follows:

The books I chose after browsing the library inspired me.
Discussing the books from the library that have caught my eye and how they will influence my thought process.

“The Art of Mickey Mouse” by Craig Yoe, along with its stills, inspired me.

While researching in the library, my teammate requested my art asset for the game “Pocket Money”.

I began researching and creating reference boards using notes I had in my wallet, Monopoly money, and even checking the loose change that kids often have. I was particularly interested in including a duck, as one of our scripts from the start of the semester featured one. However, as we implemented changes and repeatedly revised our vertical slice, we ultimately decided to remove it from the project. Nevertheless, I still wanted to incorporate the duck logo for the notes to create a simple, cute montage. This was my initial thought process, and I started using Canva to bring my ideas to life.

The entire thought process transitions from simple shapes to a fully realised asset in Canva, enabling free-flowing creativity.

Here are the final results, showing various options for pocket money.

My personal favourite, as it perfectly compiles and portrays all the creativity

Gathering feedback from the group and providing them with options to choose from.

Our university website makes it easy to find all the books and arrange to keep them, which I found very efficient while working with the library associates.
