In Week 7, we received formative feedback from both tutors and peers, with my individual feedback provided by Marie. Personally, this week was a really important turning point in my development process because it allowed me to step back and reflect on the progress I had made so far in both my practical work and blog documentation. It helped me recognise where my strengths were improving while also making me more aware of the areas that still required further development and refinement.
After receiving the feedback, I focused on applying the constructive criticism directly to my workflow by refining my blogs, improving the structure and depth of my documentation, and continuing to practise with the software to strengthen my technical abilities further. I also reflected more deeply on my role as a World Designer and how I could better connect my environmental design work, experimentation, research, and reflective writing throughout the project.
Looking back now, this formative feedback week helped me become more self-aware creatively and professionally. It pushed me to reflect more critically on my work while motivating me to continue improving both technically and creatively throughout the remainder of the semester. Overall, it was an important moment of growth in my development as both a designer and a student. Marie’s formative feedback and comments are below.
