2.Style Guide
Colours:
Like I said before, I want the emotions conveyed by my games to be cute, cosy and happy. There won’t be a fixed use of a certain colour palette in this game, I’ll be bold and use a variety of colours to make the screen brightly coloured. As Moodboard shows above, the given colours are used.
However, the colours of the environment may change according to the customs of different festivals (For example:during the Chinese New Year, warm colours such as red and yellow are used a lot in the community because they are close to the Chinese New Year customs).
Typography:
For the text that appears in the game, I want the text to be in a bold, rounded font that will echo the style of my game and the style of my character.
Example:

This is one of the fonts I’ve found I’m more than happy with out of all the fonts in Powerpoint.
The name of the Typography:

This font is thick enough without the need for bolding, and all the letters using this font are rounded. The letters as a whole look round, short and cute.
3.Characters Design
My game will contain many characters and will continue to add different characters with each update.
I have now designed the initial five characters with skills as examples.
The reason I designed each skill for each character was explained in the Research phase, here is the link to the Research page. You can click on the page to view it.
“How prototype animal traits relate to character talent” part in the post is the reason of characters skills
a. Fox
Skill: During market transactions, there is one mandatory haggling opportunity each day, allowing one to force the other party to reduce their offer by 10%.
For example: if the other party offers ten tomatoes in exchange for a portion of meat, the fox may force them to lower the price to nine tomatoes for a portion of meat.

Character Design Process:
b. Dog
Skill: When players select the dog character within the community, it reduces the likelihood of theft occurring within the community.
For Example: If the community is in public mode and a player from another community comes to steal resources, the dog character being in the community causes that player to fail the theft.

Character Design Process:
c. Penguin
Skill: Penguin hold an advantage in glacial terrain, as the riverbanks are frozen over, making them one of the few creatures capable of fishing in such environments.
For Example:When the river freezes over, most animals can’t get into the water to fish, but penguins can still do it.

Character Design Process:
d. Cat
Skill: Cats achieve a higher success rate when stealing while visiting other community.
For Example: If a player who chooses cats visits other communities at night, they may choose to steal some of the resources that their community lacks.

Character Design Process:
e. Rabbit
Skill:Rabbits excel at digging burrows, thus gaining an advantage in mini-games involving the harvesting of subterranean crops (where the game difficulty is reduced).
For Example: If the player chooses this character to play the potato gathering mini-game, the player only needs to make get 80% of the score of the player who chooses the other character to win the potatoes.

All my characters have a uniform style. All the characters are very round, short and chubby, and the overall shape is mostly round and oval, which makes them cuter and more relatable.
When outlining the lines I use a plush textured brush that is not flat around the lines and looks like the texture of a lambswool garment. This texture conveys a feeling of warmth, softness and gentleness.
I match my characters with accessories mostly in cute styles, and the combination of these three things makes my characters feel cute.
4.Poster

This poster echoes the theme of celebrating the holidays, so I did use a lot of party elements. To keep it cute I used very bright colours.
