1.Player Motivation

Players collaborate with friends to cook, decorate and celebrate for the holidays gaining a sense of accomplishment. This game creates a sense of warmth, joy, pride and connection, with each small contribution impacting the entire holiday season.

2.Player Agency

• The player can pick different characters to play as (each character has different skills which affect the difficulty of a particular part of the game).
• Players can choose any community that has space available to join, or they can invite friends to form a new community (this affects who players can co-operate with in the game).
• Players choose their own quests in the game (quests vary in difficulty, and this choice affects the speed and quality of quest completion).

3.Player Journey

Onboarding: Familiarisation with the environment

Players start by choosing a community to join, or forming a new one on their own. Once in the community, players can choose their favourite character.

Prior to the holiday season, players can choose their home in the community and decorate it. Players can walk around the community as much as they want, interact with friends, and familiarise themselves with the layout of the entire community, which can increase the speed at which players can subsequently do their quests in the future.

Mid – Game：Preparing for Festivals

On the day of the festival, players will be subjected to quests, which they will have to perform in groups.

Collect Resources Group：

The player needs to collect all the ingredients in the neighbourhood based on the information provided by the recipes and deliver them to the kitchen as fast as possible. And the player needs to take the finished dish to the big table in the centre of the community.

Cooking Group：

Players need to follow the ingredients and preparation process of the recipe to make the dish, if the cooking step is wrong players need to recreate it.

Decoration Group：

Players need to visit the library to learn about the culture and customs of the corresponding holiday and decorate the entire community by extracting key information. Players need to ensure that the atmosphere of the community is in line with the characteristics of the festival.

All three groups of players above are playing at the same time. All tasks need to be completed before the sun goes down.

End – Game：

After the sun goes down and the players have finished all the preparations, everyone can celebrate the holiday together. Everyone can chat, take pictures and enjoy the food together.
